Verb ‘have’
◦ have/has/had + past participle (V3)
◦ Example :
– I have lived in Sleman since 1995.
– She had done the homework.
– I had been in seventh grade by 2009.
◦ Have/has for present tense
◦ Had for past tense
Verb ‘be’
◦ Be + V ing (kalimat aktif)
◦ Be + V3 (kalimat pasif)
◦ Example:
– I was drinking a glass of tea.
– The book is brought by Charles.
Modals
◦ Can, will, shall, must, may, etc. (present tense)
◦ Could, would, should, might, etc. (past tense)
◦ Structure:
– Modals + V1
Example:
I can do the test by myself.
I should not come there yesterday.
